Ben Lowe earned his reputation as a national-caliber multitasker, taking significant steps forward in his professional racing career while studying Environmental Science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and working for his father’s excavating company. Lowe made his Progressive American Flat Track debut in 2013, participating in one Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Main Event. The following season, he registered four points-paying finishes with a pair of top tens. He built on that in 2015 with two top fives, including a maiden podium at the Vegas finale. By 2016, the Michigan native was a major player in the class, notching up eight top tens en route to sixth in that season’s Parts Unlimited AFT Singles championship. His steady progress culminated in a breakout 2017; Lowe finished the season ranked fourth in points on the strength of three podiums and 16 top tens. While Lowe continued to show solid top-ten form in Parts Unlimited AFT Singles competition in 2018 and 2019, he shifted the bulk of his focus to the emerging Mission Productions Twins class. In its abbreviated 2018 debut season, Lowe raced to a runner-up Main Event finish. In 2019, he earned seven top tens – including a podium at the Red Mile – to close out the year ranked ninth. In 2020, he earned his first career professional win at the Indy Mile and ended the season ranked third in the class. He followed that up with another front-running campaign in ‘21, earning a pair of runner-up finishes en route to a fourth-place class ranking. Even after earning a couple of early season Mission Production Twins podiums in 2022, Lowe switched his focus to the premier Mission SuperTwins class as the season unfolded. There he proved himself up to the task of competing with the best racers in the world, logging eight top tens including a fifth-place finish at the Red Mile. He followed that up with a ninth-ranked ‘23 Mission SuperTwins season, which included ten top tens highlighted by a fourth-place run in the Arizona Super TT.
